We have been in the portacabin for almost 10 years now and understandably the facilities have become run down. Although we are of course keen and excited about the progress of The Salaam Centre, we feel that as it may be a few years before we complete the centre and move in, we should ensure that our community is well catered for in the meantime. We are therefore planning on refurbishing the portacabin – and ideally want to have much of the work completed before Ramadan (see image below for more details of what we will be doing)! The cost of this is likely to be approximately £20 000 – £25 000.
