His main fields of interest are theology, Islamic mysticism, and Qur’anicsciences and exegeses, including its history and compilation.

Her TV talk show “Woman’s View” on Sky 831 has broadcasted over 300 episodes interviewing a range of women.

Zahra has also appeared on British media channels such as BBC, ITV3 and Channel4 speaking on Islamic issues. She has also been quoted in The Telegraph and The Independent news articles. Zahra had a meeting with the British Prime Minister in 2016 at 10 Downing Street where she projected to him the achievements of British Muslim Women.

His research, teaching and writing focuses on contemporary implications of Islamic legal theory, theology and ethics.

She started her working career as a corporate lawyer. After starting her own family, she realized that her true passion lay in empowering and strengthening families to create intentional and healthy relationships. After a decade of self and professional study, Marzia now works as a social worker and relationship consultant with individuals, couples and families. 

Before co-founding Khayaal, he spent over a decade pursuing the sciences of Islam and the Arabic, Persian and Urdu languages.

Throughhis work as a playwright, theatre producer, lecturer and imam, he has served communities and societies in the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Sudan, Pakistan, Bahrain, Morocco, Kenya, Sweden, South Africa, Denmark, the Dominican Republic and beyond.

She has cautioned against the construction of binary oppositions where interpretations of gender in the Qur’an are either seen as modern feminist and egalitarian, on the one hand, or traditional, male and misogynistic on the other. Instead she suggests a third possibility for Muslim feminist analysis which ‘affirms the original purity of humanity as a horizon for the divine.’
