The Muharram lectures at Mahfil Ali started on Monday 10th September 2018 with experts from a range of backgrounds including Sunni Scholars to complement the brilliant Shaykh Luqman Ali and Professor Seyed Fatemi.
There were some fantastic dramatic storytelling presentations from the Khayaal Theatre group led by Shaykh Luqman Ali. These were extremely popular – not only for the adults but also for children.
The following two talks were delivered by Sunni speakers. Not only did they present themselves very well, but Hasnain Bukhari and Qari Asim brought about interest into the Sunni perspective of Karbala.
The last part of the Muharram series was led by Seyed Fatemi. He focused on Ethical theory and brought about a lot of discussion during the Question and Answer sessions.
