Join us as we welcome Dr Miqdad Asaria as he delivers a talk entitled “The Health of minority ethnic communities in the UK: Health migrants, salmon and the social determinants of health”

Miqdad Asaria is an Assistant Professorial Research Fellow based at LSE Health working on an individual fellowship with the Health Foundation exploring management and hospital performance. He has extensive experience working as a health economist on decision analytic modelling and microsimulation with a particular focus on socioeconomic inequality. Prior to his time at LSE he spent 8 years as a health economist at the Centre for Health Economics at the University of York and has also worked in policy roles at the UK Department of Health and the Indian Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. As well as a PhD in Health Economics Dr Asaria has master’s degrees in Economics and Computer Science.
