Interfaith Event: Our Fasting Traditions

Please join us to hear the Muslim, Jewish and Christian perspectives from Sister Yasmin Hamid, Rabbi Naomi Goldman and Richard Almond as part of the Pinner & District Faiths Dialogue.

When do we fast?  Why do we fast? What is fasting intended to achieve? Do we have times when we refrain from eating particular foods? Is fasting relevant today?

These are some of the questions that we hope to explore on Wednesday 8^th of December at 8 p.m.

Robin Woolf from Pinner United Synagogue together with Angela Achenbach from St Luke’s Roman Catholic Church set up the Pinner Dialogue 31 years ago. At this event there will be a short presentation to thank Robin as he is now handing over the chairmanship to Katherine Pinching from St. Johns Church and Jenny Nemko from Pinner United Synagogue.
