The next meeting of the North Harrow Muslim/Christian dialogue group will be in the St Martin’s Room at St Alban’s at 8.00pm on Tuesday Nov.1st; light refreshments from 7.45. We look forward to seeing you.
Our main topic will be a discussion on Education and Faith, with reflection on our histories, shared understandings and experience and the areas where we differ. How important is teaching and learning in Bible and Quran? The importance of education in church and mosque down the ages and today; the responsibility we have for young people in church and mosque; does religious education still have a place in the curriculum in state schools. If so, in what form?
We will also spend some time as usual sharing news of our communities and this time, especially, news of development at the Salaam Centre.
Our meetings are always open to everyone, but at this meeting we shall especially welcome teachers and ex-teachers as guests.
