KNOWLEDGE THROUGH COMPASSION

Tuition Information
The Shia Itha’ashari Community of Middlesex (SICM) organizes tuition classes on Sunday mornings during the school year. These classes are proven to help pupils who wish to reinforce and widen their knowledge in the many subjects which are provided.
Many pupils have emerged with excellent results – many of which are higher than had previously been expected.
The teachers are dedicated to the progress and achievements of the pupils and work hard to ensure that all pupils receive the attention and the help they need.
Relatively small class sizes (which vary from year to year depending on demand) facilitate the opportunity of the children to pose any questions and concerns that they may have and also allows a close interaction between student and teacher, which is undoubtedly a means to a more enjoyable learning experience.
Development of the classes through the years has resulted in teachers incorporating experiments as well as other activities for the pupils so that they may take an active part in their education. This enhances their experience and is proven to increase the amount of information that they retain from the classes.
SICM also yearns to assist those who are less fortunate. Many pupils lack the educational facilities required to attain their potential and cannot afford the high cost of private tuition. It is therefore SICM’s pride to offer these Tuition classes for £50 a year for Gcse, and £100 a year for A Levels. Those who are still unable to pay this may also request a bursary.

What we do
Subjects

Biology
From teeny microbes to human beings, the GCSE and A level syllabus covers a wide range of topics. We have created a set of notes which not only covers the core aspects but also goes beyond the basics.

Chemistry
As part of our weekly sessions, we teach Chemistry. This is often a topic which pupils find difficult as it integrates Sciences and Maths. Our teachers work hard to make this topic simple and easy to understand.

Mathematics
With a strong foundation in Maths, many of the Sciences become easy. Our classes focus on Mathematics both at a basic level and beyond A level.

Pure Mathematics
As part of the A level Mathematics course, Pure Maths is an important focus. Our teachers break down the confusing parts of this to understandable bites.

Statistics & Mechanics
Understanding and remembering definitions for statistics and combining Maths and Physics can sometimes be confusing. We try to ensure that the students understand the concepts to allow them to apply the Maths!

Physics
Sometimes known as the building blocks of the universe (Sheldon Cooper will attest to that!), Physics can be confusing. But by simplifying the concepts, pupils are able to grasp complex concepts and formulate answers to the questions asked in the exam!
