Usaama al-Azami is a Lecturer in Islamic studies at the Markfield Institute of Higher Education, and at the Al-Salam Institute lead by Shaykh Mohammad Akram Nadwi. He completed his BA at Oxford University, and his MA at Princeton University. Over the years he has been able to study with and/or obtain ijazas from a number of scholars including Shaykhs Akram Nadwi, Ahmad 'Ali Lajpuri, 'Abd al-Rahman al-Kattani, and Yunus Jaunpuri. He is currently a doctoral candidate at Princeton University working on modern Islamic political thought.
